Text (reading with audio as prep for speed reading test in three days):

Giordano Bruno was perhaps| the best known philosopher | of the Italian Renaissance. ||

Giordano Bruno | was ordained as a Dominican priest | in 1575.|| He was accused of heresy | and in 1576 left his order. ||

He travelled to Toulouse | where he taught theology, | and then to England, | where he taught at Oxford. ||

Following trips to | Marburg, | Wittenberg, | Prague, | and Frankfurt | he went back to Venice, | where in 1592 | he was imprisoned by the Inquisition. ||

Giordano Bruno | - rejecting the geocentric | and anthropocentric universe | - expanded the Copernican (Коперник) system |  with his pantheistic conception | of a plurality of worlds | and an infinite universe | without centre. ||

 In his book | 'De umbris idearum' (On Shadows of Ideas), | he described nature  | as descending from divine unity | to matter and darkness, | and announced his belief | that reality is constituted by the mind. ||

 Refusing to recant his views, | he was burned as a heretic in Rome.

anthropocentric = 'Man as the goal of all reality'

pantheistic = 'God and the world are not separate but identical'

TASK: Complete the given plan for graph 2 to receive the sample of the analysis. (Recopy into the copy book twice and learn by heart. The left graph should be analysed without teacher' help as part of the test).

III. Thus, the climate in Thailand is tropical and very warm throughout the year. (Таким образам, климат в Таиланде тропический и очень теплый в течение всего года).

Unseful tips for the second graph analysis:

*precipitation - amount of rains/hail/snow/etc (осадки)

There are only rains in Thailand (В Таиланде идут только дожди).

There are two high picks of rains during the year to be mentioned (Два наиболее заметных пика выпадения осадков следует отметить в анализе)

as well as two clear periods with minimum amount of precipitation. (так же два периода наименьшего количества осадков в течение года).

The average figures should be also noted. (Среднегодовые значения следует указать).

The conclusion must concern the climate specific of the country. (Вывод должен касаться особенностей климата страны).
